A friend of mine just purchased a barret b98

Can you recommend some target and hunting loads for long range shooting.

I developed loads using Hodgdon US-869 with the 250 grain Lapua Scenar and the Sierra 300 grain Match King.

With the Match King, my accuracy load was with 101.6 grains of US-869 and was getting around 2800 fps. Max listed is 104 grains

With the Scenar I think I was up around around 104 grains with the max listed at 108

My best powders for the .338 Lapua are RL-19 (tops 88 gr with 250 grain bullets), RL-22 (tops 92.5 gr. with 225 gr. bullets), H-1000 (tops 99 gr. with 250 grain bullets). My best bullets are North Fork in 225 and 240 grains. Barnes X in 250 grains, Sierra 225 grain Gameking. I use the Fed 215M primer exclusively. Hope this helps. Good shooting.
