Good day gents

I need some help with getting started with my new 416 Rigby loads so any input would be great.

I am using Norma brass and 410 grain woodleigh 410 grain RN SN.

Problem being I do not have a measure for 'cartridge overall length' to go by. I will be taking possesion of a CZ 550 in the next day or so but would like to get started in some loads now.

If there is anyone out there that shoots CZ 550 in 416 Rigby I would love to hear from you.

Many thanks in advance.

Stu

Hi Stu,

3.750"

Use 96-98 grains of H-4831 and your favorite magnum large rifle primer with any 400-410 grain bullet. It really is that simple.

Hi Lawndart

Thank you for the info. So if the COAL is 3.750" would I be best advised loading to a cart length of say 3.60" (0.15" under COAL)?

Also the Woodleigh come with a groove for criping, should this have any bearing on the seating of the projectile?

Much appreciated

Stu
