I was wondering if anyone has loaded any H4895 with 250 gr. Bullets in the 375 ruger? I have a large amount of this powder and thought I would try to put together some reduced loads to get more trigger time. Most of the info I find seems to stop at 235 gr. bullets but I was given a great deal on a bunch of 250 grainers. Any passed along knowledge would be appreciated.

Hodgdon's website shows the following:

.375 Ruger
235g TSX
66.7-71.0gr H4895

.375 H&H
250 SP
64.0-69.0 H4895

I'd think you'd be ok starting with the H&H data, knowing that you have a bit of headroom in there to work with.

Robert

I've used 68.0 H4895 with 250 TTSX for 2650fps.

That's a pretty light load, around 3900ftpounds, which is basically a 338WM load.

You can go lower of course. say 60 grains and a 235 Speer, and work your way up.
