Need to start reloading and shooting for my trip in 2015. Found bullets, have primers, found brass, but can't find any RL15. Anyone know when it will become available?

I have about 4 3/4 plus pounds of it I am not using but shipping is a killer. I would trade for some IMR4064 if some were close.

We are starting to see some RL15 show up here in North Carolina. I just bought 4lbs for a friend of mine and I could have bought 10-12lbs.I also picked up 2lbs of Varget. RL22 is what I'm having a hard time finding.

No FL-15 to be had in my part of the country. I've spoken to several who have said they haven't seen any in 6 months.

Try the NSSA in SA. I was at my gun club Sunday and it had a bunch of powder for shotguns AND rifles.
If not NSSA, try another range in SA.

I live within walking distance of the National Shooting Complex. At the current time their pro shop consists of selling ammo and stuff like caps, tshirts, etc. They do not sell guns or reloading supplies.

I would love to get a 5 lb.container, or at least 4 1 lbs. of the same lot. You're not going to see Lex Webernick of Rifles, Inc by any chance?

I am a member of a private range with a clubhouse, but no pro shop. Only sales that go on there as far as I know are between members.

No. The GF and I are going to the McCombs fundraiser to get some live TX music. She's from Pleasanton.
Lex has a good rep, but I 'think' I'm done buying Stainless/Synthetic.

Please use Norma 203B. RL-15 is just another batch of Norma 203B that Norma sold to Alliant and they repackaged it and sold it as RL-15.

I doubt that you will see RL-15 being sold by Alliant, unless they come up with their own powder. Norma now uses Western Powders as their distributor in the US. I don't think they sell to Alliant, now.

In the last year or so I have seen exactly one pound of R-15. It was at the Bass Pro in Nashville tucked behind several 1# jugs of R-17. I bought it quick.

Seems like this is correct, but I can't find Norma 203B either. What about Varget?

Varget and Unique seem to be the "holy grail" of powders at the moment. Very, very few online places have it. Best guess is to visit small out of the way gun shops often.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

I just got off the phone with a very nice lady at Western Powders. They are shipping powders. She said that demand is still outstripping the manufacturers. Norma and the rest can't make it fast enough. She said to keep checking Grafs and Powder Valley. She was very kind and polite.

A whole lot nicer than the powder curmudgeon at Alliant. He seemed very pissed off to have to vaguely answer any question!

At any rate, just passing what I found out along to y'all!

I like Western . I like the AA. I like Montan Extreme. I mentioned to a rep that I had problems with some of the plastic bottles and they not only replaced some of it but sent some goodies too. Their cleaning rods are nice too. I think I am staying with them and Norma here. Thanks again Rusty .

Nosler (on line) list both Imr 4064 & Varget as powders for the 416RM w/ 400 g bullets. It list Imr 4064 as it's most accurate load .
