I have new 416 seating dies which came witb two seater stems. This is a long die and I am having difficulty putting these stems in to seat my bullets. What do you use to replace these stems, screw them into the die. Also the two stems appear to be for rounded or spire point bullets?

Roll EyesIn answering you from what you've said I'll presume these are RCBS type dies.

Drop the seater screw first into the sizing end of the die gently press it with a 3/8" doll rod so the male thread touches the female thread. Holding such put a small screw driver down the female section and engage slot in seater stem.again under mild pressure rotate the screw counter clock wise. beerroger

Thanks, other reloaders I know at my range have the same difficulty. They didn't have an answer for me. Now I can get my 416 handloaded, factory ammo just a little bit expensive.
