I am going to start loading for a 357 revolver,a 40 S&W, and a 44 desert eagle. What powder would you all sugest for each. I would like to use a clean burning powder for target loads 125 grain and maybe something for some full power mags in 158 grain for the 357. The eagle needs a upper end load for action cycling so low power target loads are out of the question. The 40 is just for paper punchin, nothing needed to hot.I guess I will need 3 different powders, maybe not. Thank you much for your sugestions.
Well I ain't goin to answer your question, but I'll steer you toward an answer!
Go to any good reloading book and find the powder that gives the best velocity for the cartridge and bullet weight you want to shoot. That's the powder that should be best for ya.
YMMV

H110/Win. 296 will work for the Desert Eagle. For an Encore in 44 Mag., I like 2400 the best; I never tried this load in a Desert Eagle. In my Encore, the 2400 did a lot better than H110/Win. 296.
Unique or Universal will work in all three. A good choice for med. loads in either mag & std. vel. loads in the 40s&w. A heavy bullet with a max. load in the 44mag should function your DE. For max. perf. loads in the 357mag & 44mag, go to 2400, H110 or W296.
