Would primers purchased in 2006 be reliable for a dangerous game hunt in 2009?

As long as they have been properly stored (cool, dark and dry) they should be just fine.

Like Craigste said, as long as they were properly stored, no problem!

Depending on how many you have load a few up and shoot them for sight in, practice and load developement. If you encounter no problems then have confidence in the primers and the loads.

I have read of a test on live primers that was conducted to see what would neutralize them and it was way harder than those conducting the experiment ever thought. They tried water and the results of soaking them were short lived. Even using oil on them was a little iffy. I don't think normal storage of them would cause them to not function in any length of time.
