Have been looking for some Norma powders locally with no luck and did a internet search. I found a copy of a letter that stated N204 is the same as RL19 and MRP is the same as RL22.
Can anyone confirm this data?

N204 has a similar burn rate as Re19, but they don't look at all alike. N204 is more dense and smaller grained. Re22 is very close to MRP in burn rate, and they look very similar. Regards, AIU

I've never compared 204 with RL19. I used to use MRP for the majority of my loads then couldn't get it. I switched to RL22. The first lott of powder was about 2-3 grs hotter. The second lott I purchased allowed me to use my MRP loads as is. I did buy about 15# of that powder. Big Grin I've alos heard that RL25 & MRP2 are basically the same as well. I have never tested that.

As usual just my $.02

The powders mentioned are very close, but not necessarily to the extent that you can simply substitute one for the other. Work up from below, and you'll likely find they are near equivalent, though.

Contact Don Heath. He works for Norma and is a forum member. He can tell you.

RL-15 is just a different "Lot" of Norma 203B.

Yes, contact the manufacturer and let us know the answer. I recently asked Alliant if Reloder 17 and Norma URP is the same end its not.

Here a copy of the information that Don Heath sent to me via an email back on October 11th.

203B and >RL 15 are different lotts of the same powder. It is made here, and if it doesn’t quite meet our specks for cannes of 203 we use it in the factory or you buy it as RL15
