Hi, all!
Just bought a new Sako 85 stainless/synthetic in .260 Rem. (my dream rifle!) and I'm looking for some loads to try. What are your favorites? I have purchased a few different 100-rd. boxes of bullets for loading, including:

Lapua 123 Gr. Scenar (non-moly)
Hornady 129 gr. SST
Hornady 140 gr. SST
Berger 140 gr. VLD (non-moly)

and 2 or 3 others I can't remember off-hand, I think some nosler 100's and some light Sierra (107 or 108 I think).

Please don't limit your load suggestions to the above bullets, I'm looking for ANY AND ALL interesting loads, for both target work and hunting (varmint to deer size).

Thanks!

I have used the following with acceptable groups. Don't have notes here at work to give most accurate or more info on MV and COl.

44 grs H-4831 with 140 gr Hornady SP Int.
42 grs IMR-4350 with 140 gr Speer SSP
42.2 grs IMR-4831 with 140 gr Speer SSP

I like the H-4831SC for ease of metering and weighing and it is interchangeable with H-4831.

I`ve had good luck with R19 and the 129 gr Hornady SP, H4831ssc and the 140 Hornady SP or 140 Nosler match HP, or H4350 with the 100gr and 120gr Nosler BTs or Sierra MKs.
The SST bullets haven`t worked well for me in either 260 Rem or 6.5x55 Swede.

46 grains H4350 and a Nosler 120 grain BT.

Start at 43 grains and work up carefully.

hello again,
Thanks for the loads everyone!
Any other .260 Rem. loaders? Is it the consensus that Hornady SST bullets are inaccurate in this cartridge?
Thanks!

Mine is a 260ai, so I won't give you data but H4350 is good w/ all bullet weights & IMR7828ssc is great w/ 140gr wts. I've never been able to get great accuracy fromm SSTs in any caliber.
My 260ai is a 27" hvy bbl & I run 123gr Lapua or SMK @ 3100fps & 139gr Lapua or 142grSMK @ 2850fps w/ accuracy under 1/2MOA or abit better.
