Anyone use 100 gr Sierra HPBT Match?I'm using them in a Ruger #1V 24",with IMR 4350 between 49-and51grs.I am trying some other Sierras 117,but like this bullet. Not happy with my recent results with it though.I shoot targets only at 100yds.Thanks NRA Member Target Shooter

I think 4350 is a bit fast for the overbore .25-06. You might want to try 4831 (H or IMR), RL22 or VV160/165. the VV line of powders are very uniform. LIFE IS NOT A SPECTATOR'S SPORT!

dsmit, if your 25-06 averages 1/2 in. at 200 yards you have one of the best shooting guns in the country. Bob

This is not a "target load" but it is what I use for hunting: 5-shots, 200-yards Bullet: Sierra 120 Grain HPBT Powder: 47.7 grains of IMR-4350 Powder: 52.5 grains of Hodgdon H-4831 Primer: Winchester Large Rifle Case: Remington Firearm: Ruger 77R Optics: Leupold 4.5x14 Velocity: 2922 FPS @ 15' from muzzle (Both powders perform identical)

bflo tom, imr-4350 worked great out of my 25-06,my load came rite out of noslers manual,51 grains is max so work up to it, i used rem brass federals 210 match primers, she drove tacks at 100 so i took her out to 600 and she shot a 4.5 inch 5 shot group as fast as i could bolt and shoot, shes built on a rem 700 action blue printed of course and shes weares a 1/10 twist 26 inch crome/moly shielen barrel, its a sweet round thats 4 sure , your ruger should do great ...jjmp
