I'm getting horrible runout (.003 to .0015!) with 338 Win brass in my new die, RCBS X-die. I've double checked the set up, the fired cases come out straight and true, but I can't get the runout down on unfired cases to save my life. I was stupidly talked out of my old dies and hate the thought of shooting 100 cases just to load straight bullets. Any ideas?

how about returning the die for one that is straight. it does happen on the beginning or end of some runs that will have some runout.

You know you sure could be right. I've tried to call RCBS and have got only busy signals. I'll try the non 800 number tomorrow.
