I had a blast shooting old Remington ammo out of the Lee Enfield at steel out to 300 last weekend. It's pretty accurate. I'd like to try it out further using the ladder sights. Anybody have a moderate pressure, accurate load for 174 gr Sierra BTSP that runs about the 2440 fps that the sights are set up for? I've got many of the medium powders. I was thinking of trying 4320 and 4451.

I shoot nothing but long range. My pet load is 43 grains of Reloader-15. This has proven to be a very good medium load and very accurate at 800 yards. Gulf of Tonkin Yacht Club NRA Endowment Member President NM MILSURPS

Thanks, Rob. Does is shoot pretty much to the sights? Looks like it'll be maybe 100-120 fps faster than 2440 fps the sights are theoretically calibrated for. The Remington ammo was running about 2510 and seemed to be pretty much on at 200 and 300 if I held right on (vs 6 o'clock hold). Of course, I had an 18 inch plate helping me!
