I use brake cleaner and spray the Hell out of them, inside and out. Since these are "new" dies and you haven't set them up yet, I would recommend taking them apart and giving them a good cleaning. Paper towels, Q-Tips, and something to cut the crud -- you'll be good to go.

As the other post states almost any degreaser will work as well as boresolvent..Hoppes #9 ect...clean the threads and relube the threads with a med/heavy weight lube-grease and the same with the press threads..makes the die mate to the threads better and last longer? the bore solvent should be used for old dirty dies to get the brass build up out if your cases start to show scratchs and marks....good luck and good shooting/loading!!
