Hey guys looking to see if anyone has any brass sitting around they would be willing to get rid off. I'm new to reloading and with the wife not working I don’t have much for spending $$$. Anybody has any .223, 300WM, 7mm Rem Mag, or .222 brass. Those are the only four calibers I have. I don't have allot of equipment, but my neighbor is letting me use allot of his die sets and such. So if anybody has any brass they would be willing to send my way I could pay shipping, I really appreashiate you helping a guy out......thanks -Chris

You can either cut out the crimp, or use a swaging die to get rid of the crimp. Yes, you can't seat primers in a milsurp round until you get rid of the crimp, and sometimes removing the mil primer can be a challenge.

I know it isn't free but I'll try and paste below a pretty good buy on brass. Look on the upper left side of page and see the federal brass that's new, primed and almost ready to load. Some people seem to complain about Federal but I've had good luck with this brass. By the time you pay people for shipping their used brass and get it worked over for your chamber.....well.....new might be a better way to go. Maybe your buddy needs some too and a bigger order would save on shipping. I'll try and past the link....

Welcome to the forums gunman_7!

The military crimp is super easy to remove, just takes a turn from a chamfering tool if you have one. If you don't have one, use a 1/2" or so drill bit you'll probably have laying around somewhere, wrap some tape on it for a handle. All it takes is a turn or two. You only have to do it once.

I have some, about 10 7 M/M Rem Mag I would send you for the cost of postage. It's already loaded but if you don't want it that way, I can pull the bullets and dump the powder.

CharlieHo--you're not exactly comparing apples to apples with your site. That page says the brass is once fired....not new. I wouldn't think a guy starting out needs quantities of 500 real bad.

BUT....out of curiosity I would think you've bought from these guys before.
Is the brass clean.
Is the brass resized to factory spec?

Just curious for my own shopping. Thanks

Kraky, their brass is cleaned and sorted by headstamp (unsorted for a cheaper price). All sizing must be done by you. They may size it for you, but I'm sure it'll be more $$.

They always seem to throw in 30-50 extra cases (per 1K), I guess to cover damaged brass or miscounts or whatever.
