Does anyone have any good (i.e. loading manual) load data for the 110 grain V-Max using Reloader 15 in a 308? I have looked my manuals and there is no data for RL15 with a 110 grain head. I know this may mean that RL15 is not best suited to the 110 grain head but I'm in the UK and have to use what I can get. I've seen internet sources for 47 grains of RL 15 as a max load with the V-Max and also Alliant quote 51 grains as max with the Speer 110 grain HP but would like some supporting evidence. Needless to say I would back it off to about 43 grains and work up.

I used 47 grains of Re-15 with the 110 grain V-Max in a 26" Encore barrel in .308 WCF, and the pressures appeared very mild. Accuracy was excellent. Bobby Μολὼν λαβέ The most important thing in life is not what we do but how and why we do it. - Nana Mouskouri

According to Quickload 3.4, the max. load of 51 gr. of RL15 behind the V-Max should be correct. Supposing a barrel lenght of 24", V/0 should be 3150/3200 fps. Of course this is only a guess. Hope this helps.

thanks to you both for your assistance with this, in view of 51gr probably being max i might start about 45 and work up from there. This will probably only be a plinking load and so max velocity is not a requirement so the first accurate load I reach will be the one I go with.
