Is this a good bullet for moose/bear/boar etc? A gun-smith and reloader guru I deal with recommended these as the best all-round bullet for the 375. He also recommended a velocity around 2750 fps.

It is very accurate in my Sako TRG-s. My son has killed elk and black bear with it. None of the kills, however, have afforded a real opportunity to assess terminal performance. The Sierra people tell me that its construction is the same as the 300 grain .375, so I think I'd be comfortable with it on the heaviest moose and bear. Velocity with either IMR 4350 or H-414 runs about 2800 fps in my gun.

A lot of the locals use them around here and they all have a pocket full of nicely expanded 250 gr. Sierras to plunk on the coffee table to make their point..they always stop on the off side skin on broadside shots at most ranges, perfectly expanded and kill quickly... Personally I prefer better penitration as I hunt in the thick timber and most shots are lenthwise...I like a 300 gr. Nosler, as that covers all the bases...the new 350 gr. Woodleigh PP should be a dandy. I can take the shot as it's presented, I couldn't do that 100% of the time with any Sierra I don't think. ------------------
