Just recently purchased a davide pedersoli "quigley" 49-90 34 inch barrel. looking for some information on a good load for this gun. powder, bullet wieght etc. any info would be greatly appreciated.

If you're going to use black powder in it, you'll want to get a copy of Mike Venturino & Steve Garbe's "BP Cartridge Reloading Primer." You can order it directly from the SPG website: http://www.blackpowderspg.com

90 grains of black powder, 500 grain cast lead bullet, paper patched and seated to compress the powder charge.

If the rifle is a modern firearm that can handle smokeless powder you can find a lot of information on different loads using smokeless powers.

Gleith, let me know how you like that firearm and the way it shoots. My father is looking at the exact same one to purchase sometime this spring/summer.
