Hi guys, I have ordered a new kipplauf rifle in 6,5x57R a few days ago - will need some time for delivery, but I am thinking about the bullets to start testing with. The rifle should be used for roe deer and medium sized pigs (up to 50kgs) here around my home, but may be used in the mountains one day as well. Any ideas with which bullets I should start? my ideas have been so far: Nosler Partition and BT 120 grs Nosler Partition 100 grs anybody experience with the Barnes T-TSX 100/120grs ? Thanks Klaus

Not the Barnes but I shoot a lot of 110 gr GS Custom HV bullets in my 6.5 rifles and like them a great deal. I would think the performance of the two is very similar. GS Custom "Experience" is the only class you take where the exam comes before the lesson.

Vihta N140 and the 120/125 grain Nosler bullets seem to shoot very well.

Klaus, the GS custom is a great bullet and I run the 120gn at 3235fps in my 7x57. The GS would be just the thing for your 6.5x57R. Von Gruff.

Can't see why any conventional 140 grain Cup and Core bullet won't get the job done. If the piggies are small than 120 grain. roger Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! Some never pay and some pay and never reap the reward. Wisdom comes with age! Sometimes age comes alone..
