Does anyone have any data and loads for the 35 whelen and the 35 cal whelen imp. I am using 200 gr Rem. Corelox spt. in the whelen and 250 grain spt. speer in the whelen improved. I tried the Imr 4007 SSC in the whelen Imp. and the max velocity I can get is 2500. I am looking for 2650-2700..I am using Imr 4064 with the whelen 200 grain and I can get 2700..

Curious is it a Brown Whelen or a Whelen AI? Anyway I would look to a slower powder. Varget, RL15.

i'm using 4350 w/250 gr nozler part. in 35 wheelen imp. with good results. I can't remember the exact load but its something like 56 or 57 grains. 35 imp data is hard to find. ackelys book recommends starting with 35 data and upping it 5% for improved

56 grains IMR-4064 sends a 250 grain Swift A-frame out of my barrel (Dakota Model 10 single shot) at just over 2,600 fps.

It is however a hot load.
Work up to it slowly.

just had a brainfart - i'm using 4320 not 4350

i use imr 4320 with 200 gr.barnes and core-loks and get about 2600-2700. but that is in my gun.
