jaslure,
I've played around with 150gr. Hornadys and Nosler BT's and found that 55gr. of IMR-4064 was the MAX IN MY RIFLE,(Varget is another great choice, if you get a chance, try it). I used to shoot 52.5gr. of IMR-4064 in the standard '06 before I had it rebarreled and chambered for the '06 imp. I haven't used the 150's for anything alive as the main purpose of this rifle is as an elk slayer with 180's. Accuracy was so-so but I didn't try real hard to get good groups, I was just playing around!
If you ever use 180's be sure to try RL22, so far it's hands down the best powder I've tried.

With 180 gr bullets, I use IMR 4831 starting with 60.0 grains give a velocity of 2820 fps, on up to 65.0 grains with a velocity of 3012 fps. Last load is uncomfortably hot for my Springfield.

I never got loads with 165 grain bullets that I liked. Only use the rifle with 180 grain bullets anyway.
