Haven't reloaded in quite awhile...I have (2) Remington 700 BDL 270W to load for...

Here's my starting load...

H4831 SC 57gr/130gr Rem CL/WW brass/CCI 200 or WLR Primers

Planning to work up a grain or two from there!

Just checking-in before I start load development as I've never done the 270W before... Big Grin

Thanks!

That's the exact load I use except for 130gr Speer Boattails. Not a max load but it groups really well, I seat the to 3.34"

My best loads are 130 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip or Sierra bullets, WLR primers, WW brass and 58.5 to 59.0 grains of H4831sc. About 3100 fps chronographed in my 24 " barrel and under 0.60" 100 yard accuracy from a factory Win 70 classic. Great combo. Don't get this good accuracy with 130 grain Barnes, Speer or Hornady bullets but still very acceptable just over 1" groups. I have usually found best accuracy in the .270 Win with H4831sc powder as you approach max loads with any given bullet.

I have a Rem 700 270W as well. Mine is a MOA 10 shot shooter w. 55gr of IMR4831 and 140gr Sierra GameKings.

Working up loads with 130gr Hornady Interbonds. So far 3 shot groups are under .75 w. IMR4831 but haven't expanded to 5 and 10 shot testing yet.

I'm very interested to see your results. Thanks for sharing.

BTW I'm using WOLF LR primers.

I'll keep you posted...I need to have a new recoil pad put on for my son's rifle and I'm dropping mine into a Rem CDL stock...need to massage/relieve it a HAIR into the stock as the mag inlet seems to bind...So in a couple weeks we should be starting load development!

I have used the same components that your are using with the exception of substituting a NBT 130g with loads up to 62.0 grains of H4831 for 3125fps out of a 22" barrel.

As always, Your rifle is different from my old M77 so the need to work up to the load you want is there. Good luck
