Does anyone know the true minimum required velocity that these bullets expand at?

I recall reading somewhere that it was in the neighborhood of 1600 fps. But that's from memory, so...

From the 1998 Handloader test, it appears to be right at 1600 fps. The nose opening has been enlarged, so that might have an influence -- although it would logically be to open at even lower velocities. HTH, Dutch.
