unless you plan on putting the tee right in the middle of a chrony, it can't be done accurately with one, as you want to know CLUB speed (that moves in an arc) rather than ball speed (still in an arc, but you know)
the working method is time between distances on any chrony, and if the club moves in an ARC, the speed will be read SLOW as it's actually covering more distance going down through gate one, down to ball, and UP through gate two... the software will just consider it to be time from gate one to gate two, linear, rather than speed of the club's arc.
I'm mostly interested in "pretty close", and what I do that affects the speed. I've got an Oehler 33 so can put the screens any distance apart that I want, so close spacing reduces the accuracy of the electronics, but uses a straighter part of the arc. And, I don't have a radar gun.
most of these (i just posted a longer note the other day) run at 99.5% accuracy... but that's with a relativily straight arc... I do wonder what it would read.. put the tee right in the middle and take a whack... jeffe
