I clean mine using brake cleaner, or gun cleaning solvent and a patch or two.
When finished, I spray a small amount of Rem-oil on them to keep them from rusting....sakofan..

I clean the inside of my dies with "Ed's Red" bore cleaner and a Q-Tip. Ed's Red is made with transmission fluid as one of the ingredients so it lubes as it cleans. I clean mine because I load cast bullets and the lube gets inside the dies.

Thanks Guys,
I think I'll head out to the Auto store and get some brake cleaner.

Thank you
