They are fine bullets for practice but the round nose goes off like a grenade if you push it too quick. It is not even tough enough at H&H velocities. I wrecked the shoulder of an impala using them. So as was posted before I wonder what the Weatherby will do to it. The spire point is supposed to be tougher but I have no experience of those.

Keep in mind that Weatherby has long seen fit to have their factory ammo loaded with Hornady bullets, FWIW. They've been their standard bullet for years. And, yes, there is a factory load for the .378 with the 270-gr. Hornady bullet.
