Any tips for loading Hawk bullets?

I have been loading some Hawk 500 grain .035 jacket bullets in my .470. The Woodleighs that I normally shoot are .474 but the Hawks are .475. Sometimes I have some difficulty closing the action. I think that the Hawks are so soft that the simple act of seating the bullet is causing some minor distortion and puts a slight bulge in the neck of the case. Anyone have any experience loading Hawks that might have some suggestions?

Dave I've loaded them in my 450/400 and my 404 Jeffery. As you have stated they are dead soft! I have not had any problems loading them, although in some of my cases there is a bit of a neck bulge. I wouldn't think that in a factory chamber they would be a problem?

My only concern is to make sure I start back at a lower load with the Hawks.

Rusty, I was aware that the Hawks generate somewhat higher pressures. However, my .470 was regulated with WR ammo not the Federal stuff. It regulates with Woodleighs at 2000 to 2030 fps. With the Woodleighs, these are very modest loads. I used the same load (99 grains or IMR 4831) with the Hawks. I haven't shot them across the chrony yet but if the primers are any indication while they may be somewhat higher pressure than the Woodleighs, it is nothing to cause concern. I'll know better when I can get them across the chrony.
