Is it possible to paper patch jacketed bullets for handgun hunting?

I believe paper patch is meant to be a type of "jacket" as is. I don`t see why one would add it to a already jacketed bullet.

paper patching was used with lead bullets to decrease leading. not needed with jacketed bullets, and may not be safe (lead bullets deform a lot more than jacketed bullets)
