I got some Bonanza dies off ebay, but only the box is Bonanza. The Schissel dies I have never heard of. The set is 244 Rem.

I once bought a ".243 FL die lot" of 10 dies on Ebay, two of which are "Schissels". Your's are now the second time I've heard of them and I've done this since '65! Anyway, I carefully measured several dimensions of brass sized in each die, including the three I already owned. One of the Schissels was the best of the lot; right shoulder placement, straightest neck, least working of the neck, etc. Three others, including an RCBS and a Forster, were close behind. The second Shissel, and another RCBS were clearly in third place. The rest of the brands sort of tied for fourth place. All of the tested dies except the two Schissels and an OLD Savage die (it was the worst one) were current and well known top brands. It was a learning experience well worth the few bucks it cost me to buy the exta batch of FL dies! I learned that the big buck dies, supposedly made to "tighter tolerances", are really no better than any other brand. What WE get from our individual dies depends on the luck of the draw, not the brand, it seems!

They are well made and black. They look allot like old Bonanza dies. I was going to send them back to Forster for honing. Guess I will have to lap the neck out myself.
