Do a search of the reloading forum for Cream of Wheat

I turn free 270 cases into 35 Wellen with some Red dot and cream of wheat ( COW )
Just point the rifle in a safe direction ( out side ) and pull the trigger

Not sure how much powder you will need
But start light and work up till the case is fully formed

I saw a dicky idea in Boddingtons Safari Rifles.
They had a lead slug new barrel dia. with a end section fitting old case, and there you go.

Nothing , just gravity

I take the primed cases to be fire formed out to the back deck with 2 powder measures
1 has red dot , the other is full of Cream of Wheat ( COW )but corn meal will work in a pinch

I just dump the Red Dot in the case
I then dump in enough cream of wheat( COW ) to fill the case to just below the neck
A freind uses a powder funnel and a soup spoon for the COW , no need to be exact
Then I insert the case into the rifle
Without tilting enought to dump the COW , I fire the rifle up
The case will now be fire formed , might need a full load to make the sharp corners on the shoulder

I assume you have access to a range or some other place where you can shoot.

If it was me I'd go one of two ways.

1) Load a cheap 45 cal pistol bullet like a 300 grain JHP, a good stout load, and fire form them that way. Sure, that 45 cal bullet will rattle down the barrel but it won't harm anything. Lots of widcatters form cases that way.

2) Expand the neck to .50 and load a cheap bullet.

Fireforming by the Bullseye/Blue Dot/COW method will work but you'll spend a lot of time finding the right combination. And BE powder ain't cheap. In the end you'll probably have only a 75% formed case and will have to do another final fire-form anyway.

We're ex-neighbors! Beautiful downtown Linden.

I've been thru Lone Pine several times. Beautiful place.

Glad it worked for you. I've used 22 bullets in a 6mm, 6mm bullets in a 257, and 7mm bullets in a 30.

One good thing about the undersize bullet method is that it's pretty hard to overload.

The Bullseye method is OK if you don't have a good place to shoot bullets. I have used it by driving to a semi-remote place and just shooting out of my pickup window. You can do it in your garage too but only for the smaller cases.
