I believe it was an over-sized gas operated (I think) pistol maketed a few years ago. i recall one in 45 Win Mag showing up at the silohuette range a while back. That one was stainless, and had a 10" barrel, if memory serves me. Wildey also made some proprietary cartridges and I assume the 475 was one of them. Ok, Cartridges of the World #7 says it was formed, from 284 Win brass, cut back to 1.395" and reamed for 475 bullets. COL is the same as the 45 Win Mag. RCBS makes case forming/reloading dies and Barnes used to make bullets (they might still, I don't know). Ballistics with factory ammo are supposed to be a 300 gr bullet at 1610 fps with no barrel length given. Dat in COW gives 300 gr bullets with 18 gr of Blue Dot and a 250 gr bullet with 21 gr of Blue Dot. I can't find any other info to hand, but when I do, i'll post it. - Dan | |||
