Have that exact rifle and found my fav load uses IMR4198 21.3gr Nosler BT55gr LC brass and CCI400 primers. OAL 2.310. No crimp. Not sure the difference with H4198 and IMR.

IMr 4198 and H 4198 are pretty similar in burn rates... I think Hodgdon's is more user friendly at the reload bench with 223s.. but IMRs is more user friendly on the rifle range, giving tighter groups... But anywhere from 19 to 22.5 grains of either will work in a 223... 21.5 is a favorite load of my Ruger VT in 223...( IMR that is)... But Hodgdon's turns in respectable accuracy.. both are minute of sage rat out to 300 yds... Life Member: The American Vast Right Wing Conspiracy Jan 20, 2009.. Thanks Went out and tried 19.1 H4198 with the 55gr and had consistent 1/2 inch groups. Even had 3 groups with shots in one hole. Thanks
