Now that Midway says Winchester 300H&H is discontinued and not just seasonal, how do you go about resizig 375 brass down to 300? Never done any of that sort of stuff before.

Don't do it. Resize 300 Wby to 300 tried & true. Cheaper and easier.

Thanks.

Just run a 300WBY case thru a 300H&H sizer and trim?

Not even sure about triming. Wby is 2.825 and H&H is 2.85. YOu could also use Ribbed Magnum basic brass or even 8mmRem Mag.

Might need a little fireforming to iron out all the edges..

As usual just my $.02

I also emailed RCBS the same question.

Stan from RCBS

"375 H&H can be formed through a 300 H&H Trim Die and then F.L. Sized. 300 Weatherby cases cost more. Could take a few forming steps before the case can be F.L. Sized. May also need neck turning."

Well maybe Stan should price Brass now days. Looking at Grafs. Rem 300Wby is $64/100, Rem 375H&H is $62/00 and Hornady 375H&H $90/100.

I would think you would have more of a neck turning issue going from 375 down to 300. But I'm no expert. I also can't see how the radius shoulder would be harder to remove than the sharp 375H&H but I haven't had coffee this morning.

Bottomline you can make 300H&H brass from just about any of the H&H based long magnum case.
