I have been really impressed with the velocity and accuracy I've got in both the 155g and 180g with Power Pistol. You'll need to work up to what your own shooter can handle but it's worth a try. JMHO

i am loading a 155 gr. bullet in the .40S&W with Unique powder. Velocity is around 1150-1200 fps, with function and accuracy both working well. I cannot remember the grains I am using without looking, but I would suggest looking in the Alliant Reloading manual and work up your own recipe for your pistol.
