I am reloading .204's. Wondering if it is ok to moly coat the v-max bullet, since it has the polymer tip.

I have had thousands of .257" 75 gr and .224" 35 gr Vmax moly coated by Russ Hayden.

Yeah, I was about to say for a couple bucks more per box Hornady will sell them to you already moly coated.
