I wasn’t sure of the best place to post this but, I figured reloaders would have the most fun with this.

I just got back from the range shooting 50 reloads of 10 different variations (5 rounds each of 10 loads) at 100yds and there were 2 groups I was very pleased with. Both groups were just larger than a dime but smaller than a penny with one exception….The better of the 2 groups had this ugly little hole just outside of it. I’m sure everyone knows exactly what I’m talking about…That one shot you know you can’t blame on the load and screams “YOU GOOFED UP!”

What I mean by “Let’s have some fun!” is this: Let’s come up with a term or name for that one shot that screams “YOU GOOFED UP!”

I know some of these may sound stupid but, here are a few thoughts to get everyone started:

A RABIT shot: Recoil Anticipation Before Initiating Trigger (As we all know, the hardest thing to get over is anticipation of recoil)

A RABID shot: Recoil Anticipated Before Initial Detonation

A FAT shot: Flinched At Target

A FART shot: Flinched Again (or) Flinched At something something. (I couldn’t think of anything to complete it but, I like the name)

A SPIT shot: Shooter Pulled IT

OK! Let’s keep it clean and see what everyone can come up with. I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone’s suggestions so we can have a name for this kind of shot! Maybe we can have a vote on which name fits best.

Have fun!
