Can this be done. Has anybody experience with this stuff and knows where to get components. Jezzes they sell the Flares for 5 Bucks a pice in the Store there must be a better and cheaper Way.

I have a Flare gun which takes the 25mm shell or with an insert the 12gouge shell. Thanks in advance for any comment or advise, Carl.

As long as you can get Magnesium, you should be able to make them. As for loading data, I don't think anyone has that in a handbook.

I don't have a clue, but one accident and that 5 bucks a shot will seem incredibly cheap. In other words, why do it? How many flares do you shoot anyway?

Now if you are in Afghanistan........

The short answer is - No Reloading flares is not something you can or should attempt to undertake. An explosion at flare manufacturing plant looks like a nuclear detonation. The stuff is highly volatile. If you are a hard core flare shooter, I would suggest that you seek out a distributor rather than continue purchasing retail.

In the words of Gatogordo, whats the big deal with signal flares anyhow?
