Hi all, I took a stroll through my copy of Ken Waters' Pet Loads and ran across the table of bullet lengths he compiled in an article on the .257 Roberts. Seeing those specific numbers made me curious as to how much longer monolithics are for the same bullet weight, particularly at 100 grains since that seems to be a sweet spot for the Savage and Roberts. If any of you quarter-bore fans have some Barnes bullets laying around, could you slap a caliper on them and post the length? Many thanks

I forget the exact number, but my .257 cal 100grn TTSX is .002" longer than the hornady 117grn spbt. For all intents and purposes, they are the same length, 100grn barnes vrs 117grn standard. I imagine the 80grn TSX in .257cal is the length of a standard 100grn .257cal cup and core bullet, but I haven't laid my hands on any yet.
