This velocities are from CZ-52, from 15" barrel it can easy do 1900fps with 85gr bullet. This are recommended MAXIMUM ! data, but I know, that factory Sellier&Bellot are hotter, they use no2 for 85gr round nose, but much more than 6.5 gr. I seen military round specification and there was 540 m/s with 5.5g bullets from handgun (CZ-52), translated 1770 fps with 85gr bullet. I was shooting military hardcore ammunition from my CZ-52 and it penetrate 5-6mm (.19" - .24") of steel plate (standard construction steel quality) and I tested it also on armor vest plates (looks like some kind of polyamide) and now I will never invest to this kind of armor vest

Saw your post from last year. My pet load is 13.5 gr. AA-9 using a CCI normal pistol primer and a Hornady 86 gr fmj. 1980 fps at 15 feet and no signs of pressure problems. I use a LEE factory crimp die, cut down for 308-30-06, and it made all the diffrence in the world as to speed and accuracy. (Do not use small rifle primers in this case.) The powder charge will be almost to the rim and will compress slightly. The fireball it throws is impressive. Rob
