Depends on the wad.

BP has a bunch of steel shot wads.

Last I used steel with them, my loads were with the multimetal wad that they don’t make anymore.

My bad on the wads. The wads are from Cabelas they labeled as steel 3 1/2" pink in color. They are labeled with all kinds of numbers. Here are some: Sh232 2M3F 212361 79 03WM3071
