popcornDrove 30 miles to Angeles Range. Traffic on the Freeways was modest but moving good; clear bright day, 65 degrees, no wind. Unloaded all my gear at the bench and parked the car. The sweet thing at the desk treated me to a good cup of coffee and gave me a target with a new backing. Went out and started to set up as I had a lot of loads to test not having been able to get out for three weeks. Couldn't help but to give thanks for being alive on such a beautiful day in the hills.
I finished putting the Oehler together and started to Change over the target.
shockerI really found it hard to believe that I left my ammo at home. Frowner roger

Went deer hunting with one of my best friends and his dad. His dad and I tagged along together a good ways into the woods and pretty dang far from camp when he said "I have to go back to the cabin". I asked what for. He didn't have the bolt in his Model 700 Remington.

My buddy brought his .223 today, didn't work very well with the .222 ammunition in his range bag.

Ouch. Heck 30 miles isn't too bad. Went Elk hunting about 28 years ago. Due to snow it took us 7 hours to get the jeep driven and winched up the logging road to the base camp. Next morning opening day one of the other hunter figured out he had left his ammo down the mtn in his luggage.

As usual just my $.02
