I wondered if some of you are having the same thing happen to you that is happing to me when I size 7mmwsm cases. It seems to me that the brass is not being sized small enough to allow for easy function in my rifle. I have tryed adjusting the die, but 3 out of 5 cases will not enter the chamber of the rifle without signifcant effort on my part. The rifle is still accurate shoots very nice groups with RL 22, and Swift Scirocco's. But It seems I am overworking the brass for but still am not getting them to chamber correctly. Any body that has had this plague them in reloading the 7mm wsm. Let me know what you did to fix it. Was thinking about buying one of those body sizing dies to see if that helped. LLB

Hey Llb

Most of the time the problem is that the die is not being threaded in far enough to bump the shoulder. As you resize the case body it will push the shoulder forward until the die is adjusted in far enough to bump the shoulder back also. Until then the case will be hard to chamber.

What dies are you using and how are you adjusting them?

I am using the RCBS FL dies. I have set them as the directions that came with the dies instructed. Treaded die into the press till it touches the shellholder and then turned it down another 1/4 turn. I have tryed it with even another 1/8 turn down and still not getting it to size the case enough. I am to the point where it will stop on the shell holder. I Can't think of anything else to do but maybe try a different maker of die, or get one of those body-sizing dies to get the shoulder back. LLB
