Can we assume that Re25 and Re26 will produce about the same results in most cartridges? I'm looking at using either in my 6.5x55 Swede with 140-gr. bullets. Re26 is in very short supply these days in Canada, but Re25 seems to be a little more available.

Don't know either powder but here's a quickload sample 6.5x55 & 140gr sp and RL powders.

Many thanks for that, richj. Very useful information. BTW, I love your avatar--looks like a very fine custom rifle with fleur-de-lis checkering!

Use RL-25 with no regrets , it takes one to two grains more but I found the bullet is a little faster with my 6.5 PRC’s. I finally did manage to get 8 pounds of the RL-26 after a year on backorder from Mid-South over a year ago. All the Allient powders are hard to come by now. Good Shooting.

Rich, how were you able to sort that chart in QL to only show one powder brand?

Copy the data from QL and paste to a Notepad file.

Open Excel or you spreadsheet software.

Import or open the txt file in Excel, you will be prompted to define columns.

I use Calc, an open office version of excel.
