Primer pocket?

I bought the rcbs primer pocket uniformer and started using it last night on some of my 7-08 cases. My question is how deep does this thing suppose to cut. If I let it cut until it bottoms out on the tool, which I asuming is the correct way to do it, it takes out about.015 Which looks to be to much. I seated a primer in the one I did and it was set in about .020 in the case head. Just wandering if anybody else has experienced this or is this normal.
Thanks

Got the following comment from MidWay's customer comments:

"Absolutely a great tool to use with the case prep center. The only problem I had was the stud would stay threaded in the prep center. When I tightened it back in the body, it pushed the cutting head up. The case prep manual says it is preset at factory and not to reset the depth. Other than that, I highly recommend this."

I was wondering if you were working with large pistol primers, but this may be a better explanation. Probably want to measure the depth of the cutting head and then give RCBS a call. Will this be an ongoing problem?
