I am looking for some data for sierra gamehing 165 spbt for .30-06. i have access to tu 5000 and 7000. the manual i have has loads for 168 herters but this is with 50 gr of tu5000. tu 7000 has a burn rate between imr and h4350. the velocities given for the 4350's is about 200 fps quicker than tu5000. I am wondering about using imr 4350 data and working up for the 7000 in 30-06? has anyone got any data?

My lap top is down, or else I'd run the TU 7000 data for you. I also think you're on the right track with IMR 4350 data. As always start low (probably 55.o grains) then work up...

Uk, take a look at this:

TU 7000 seems to be a little slow for a 165 gr. bullet; TU 5000 should be a better choice.

The two 4350's have nearly identical burn rate and density; there is probably more difference between lots of the powders. Even though the burn rate is similar, density may not be, so the weights of TU 7000 and 4350 would not necessarily be the same. 4350 is the powder of choice for Spire Point 165 gr. 30-06.; you're on the right track.
