When reloading for an Ackley Improved does one need to purchase special dies, or can I use my existing dies and neck size only. If so, how can I best adjust the die to do this. Thanks-Karl

Karl. It depends on your dies, but most likely not. The Lee Collet Die for necksizing is an exception. It can be used for necksizing AI. My 30-06 Improved has the shoulder a tiny bit further forward, so I have to place thin plate between the shell holder and the die to lift it free from the shoulder. With a Ackley that might not be necessary. This brick could be glued in place. The bullet seater works OK. So a Lee Collet Die set in cal 30-06 would do the trick.
Check www.leeprecision.com I order my stuff directly from them to get what I want. AKI
