I was thinking about loading some of these. Anyone have comments on the performance with live targets?

With the 139gr Interbond is all, out of a 7stw-3530av.fps--Pass throught on a Elk, and alot less blood shot area compared to a 139gr Hornady Interlock at the same Velocity

They've shot extremely accurately in every gun I've shot them im, 270,270wsm,7mm dakota,338 win mag, 338 lapua. -Shot elk with 225gr 338, at long range (515yds) bullet blew away 3in diameter 4inch wide section of spine. Recovered bullet was perfect mushroom. I think they are going to be one of the very best best bullets made. Good terminal performance, top end accuracy and about the highest B.C. 's listed.

I was really hoping Hornady would have brought out a 190 gr .30 cal Interbond with a BC of 535 or better. Specs for the IB180 show a BC of only 480. Nosler's 180 and 200 gr Accubonds have BCs of 507 and 588. Looks like I will be shooting Sierra's 190 gr hpbt a little longer.

Quote: 180 gr Hornady InterBond BC = .480 180 gr Nosler AccuBond BC = .507 That's probably not enough difference to make any practical difference in performance in the field. It might be meaningful if you're shooting targets at 600 and 1000 yards. But, these really aren't target bullets. 180 gr Nosler AccuBond BC = .507 3000 fps Muzzle Velocity 100yds, +1.4" 200yds, 0.0" 300yds, -6.5" 400yds, -18.7" 500yds, -37.6" 180 gr Hornady InterBond BC = .480 3000 fps Muzzle Velocity 100yds, +1.5" 200yds, 0.0" 300yds, -6.6" 400yds, -19.0" 500yds, -38.3" I, too, would like to see Hornady bring out a 190 gr InterBond!! Just my opinion.... -Bob F.

I would guess in side-by-side tests, the BC would be a tossup. It seems to me Hornady under-rates the BC's of their plastic tipped bullets a little.
