| Shot lots of 225s years ago, looking to try the new bullets. I'm haveing great luck with the TSXs in .375 and .416 so I'd like to give them a try. Been useing this gun mostly for deer lately hence the light bullet. If it shoots it should be fine for deer. |

| Way too much gun for deer. Unless you're hunting grizz country. |

| A 210 Partition is enough bullet for 95% of the game you will ever shoot. It's all I've ever used and is magic as far as I'm concerned. I get 3050 fps out of a 26" barrel and 3/4" accuracy. It drops an elk like the Hammer of Thor !!!

Haven't pushed mine past 2900 but the 210 partition does great job on nilgai, hogs and deer, as well. Regards, hm

| Jay I've shot deer with most standard and mag rounds. I find the 338 just right. I do hunt mostly in bear country not that I need a 338 for protection. It kills deer cleanly with little destruction. They are normally laying right where they were hit. I've been useing 338s for more tha 20 yrs so I know what should work, just looking for some spacific loads it cut developement time. |

| I'm loading mine with 75 grains of RL19 and the 210 TSX for 2930 fps. It is a good .7-.8 for three shots out of my FN and velocity is decent as well. I would suspect it could be pushed to over 3000 fps if you wanted. I am using Win. brass and CCI 250 primers and loading about .050 off the lands.
