Is there something about fed 210m primers or is my problem virgin win brass?? A couple of times this past year when assembling rounds for my '06 I've had problems with primers not seating flush. This is using brass from different lots too. Seems like the primers just won't get past "flush" and the base of the bullet won't sit on my level table without rolling around like a miniature punching bag.
Is Winchester just not making the pockets deep enough or what?? I like the consistancy of the Win brass that comes in the 50 round bags--just hate having to "crush" the primer into the pockets. (and it really shows up when you have the round fully loaded and most the weight is sitting at the top of the case with the heavy bullet on top--then you get to decide if you want to push hard on the primer with a fully loaded round--not smart but I've done it)

I use both the 210M's and WW brass and I've never noticed any problem. Could be either the pockets are too shallow in your lot of brass or the lot of 210M's is too thick. I don't believer the latter as every lot of the 210M's I've ever used has been pure consistency. Since I uniform all my primer pockets from the gitgo I can't address the former except to say that I've not noticed much brass removed from any brass though occasionally I see removal around the outer edges of some brass though WW doesn't stick out as being a consistent culprit. Could it be your priming tool isn't reaching quite far enough to fully seat them? That problem happens from time to time with the RCBS hand primers because of wear from no lubrication on the primer punch.

Like Bob338 I cut the bottoms of all primer pockets with a tool I got from Sinclair. However recent lots of WW brass also seem tight on the inside diameter of the primer pockets. This makes it difficult although not impossible to get that Sinclair tool to turn in the tight pockets as it does not cut the diameter.
Things vary. Primers can vary as well as cases. I suggest you look at the Sinclair tool or the Lyman one. Some local gun dealers carry the Lyman tool. Get on that you can chuck up in an 1/2" drill somehow.
I've got the pocket uniformers but it just bugs me that this happens. Seems like they should be ready to load and load right. It's not my primer seater---that I'm sure. Makes you wonder if their quality control for loading the stuff at the factory is better than what they sell for components. I was just wondering if anyone had run into the problem themselves and might chime in and say one or the other has been at fault. If I had some wlr primers it might be interesting to try them on a batch that's giving trouble with the fed 210's??

I had the same problem with Winchester brass for .223 and had to prep each case before use. Kind of made me wonder how uniform the rest of the case was as well.
I later switched to Lapua brass and haven't looked back. I've only used Federal 210 primers over the last 10 years and have never had a problem with the primer seating with Lapua brass. I realize Lapua brass is a bit more expensive.
I use the Federal 210 in .400/.360 Nitro Express cases formed from RWS 9.3X74R and have the same problem. I think it may be the primers and not the cases. ----------------------------------------- "Serious rifles have two barrels, everything else just burns gunpowder."
My experience with Federal primers has been good. I'd be looking at the primer pockets myself.
The last bunch of bulk W-W cases I bought had the same problem. Out of two bags(100rds)of .348 brass, I'll bet I had a reject rate of 40% with most primer pockets running too large(loose).
New brass quality is disappointing.

The last batch of WW 30-06 brass I bought had shallow primer pockets too I had to ream them out, and WLR primers were loose in the pockets, but CCI primers fit better.
The WW and RP brass Ive gotten recently as loaded ammo doesn't have this problem. I don't do much reloading, so my experience is limited to one bag of new WW brass and about 100 rounds of factory loaded ammo.
I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE PRIMER POCKETS IN WIN NICKEL CASES IN THE 280 REM ARE EXTREMLY SHALLOW. IT USED TO BE QUITE A WORKOUT TRIMMING THOSE THINGS BY HAND, UNTIL I HOOKED IT UP TO A CORDLESS DRILL.
