if your looking for enough without wrist damage.
10grs. of unique and a 405gr. cast bullet will do,, well, it'll do pretty much anything that needs done.
a step up with a 405 or 435gr. bullet is a nice simple 22-24grs of 2400.
it's more.

if you wanna get silly a case full of H-322 will point out you probably don't quick enough.

Jerry!
Haven't seen a post from you in awhile I hope the fires in your area didn't cause you to much alarm. My brother in Salmon said the smoke has been terrible this summer. My nephews were dispatched to that fire as rapellers on the Helitac crew out of LaGrande Oregon.

Good to read your posting. We did have a lot of smoke this summer with the Moose fire. The fire stayed on the west side of the river about 2 1/2 miles from our home. It’s nice to have the cooler temperatures and rain. All is good with us. Hope the same for you.

Marlin level loads are the furthest I would go, and they're the furthest Magnum Research recommends. The guns can handle more, but the recoil is excruciating without a muzzle brake. As noted, Trapdoor level loads make for good practice.
