craigsterMini14 and small base dies
I'm getting ready to load up a bunch of blasting ammo for my brothers Mini 14. Never loaded 223 for a semi auto before. Am I gonna need small base dies for this application? He's 6 hours East of here so other than sending him some loaded rounds, I can't really be sure. Thanks for the input.

wildboarI don't think so, for my Mini 14 I reload ammos with regular Lee dies. You should make some tests anyway... Lorenzo

Robert M Boren SrI too use standard 223 reloading dies for my mini-14. The trick I believe is to full lenght resize all of the time. I have shots thousands of rounds through it and have never had a failure of any sort. Good luck.

ricciardelliI really hate to ask this, but since it is "blasting ammo", why even bother to reload? You can buy military surplus for less than it costs to reload.

craigsterSteve, I agree. But I've got about 500 FMJ's, a whole bunch of brass, powder and primers that cost me a little more than nothing. Besides, I owe him a favor or two. Ah yes, brotherly love.
